Uwezinho is a percussionist, samba veteran and a traveller in music. He has been drumming since 1999 in various formations and got to know Samba during several stays in Brazil and Europe. In Germany, he founded two still active groups (Viroumania! and Fogo do Ritmo). Over the years he attended innumerable master classes and workshops, e.g. with Mestre Jonas (Mocidade, Cubango), Mestre Odilon Costa, Mestres Gustavo and Guilherme (Salgueiro) or Mestre Nilo (Portela) to learn and study the authentic Samba Carioca from Rio de Janeiro.

Indeed, during carnaval 2016 and 2018 he played in various Blocos in Rio de Janeiro, while in 2019 he paraded during the main Carnival parade within the Bateria of Alegria da Zona Sul in Rio's famous Sambódromo.

In Zurich, he was arranger, samba teacher and musical of various local bands before he set out for new shores with Samba Suisse. Moreover, he is regularly playing with the most renowned Baterias in Germany, Spain and Denmark. Thanks to his big international network, he is able to organize events and workshops with great Samba teachers from Europe and Brazil.

Shiela Krebs is a passionate dancer ever since. She has been dancing since age three, running through the basic ballett education of the Swiss branch of Royal Academy of Dance (London).

After experiening Salsa, Bachata and Merengue, she finally felt in love with Samba which became her focus. Since 2012, she has been travelling to Brazil to study the authentic Samba in Rio de Janeiro. 

The Swiss national with roots in Berne and Malaysia refined her technique with Alex Coutinho (Paraíso do Tuiuti), Felipe Moris (São Paulo/Vienna) among other renowned teachers.

During her stay in Berlin she expanded her knowledge beyond limits at Contemporary Dance und Dancehall (X-Step Dance school, Berlin) und became a Passista of the traditional and renowned German Samba-School "Sapucai no Samba", who is always parading at first within the famous Carnival of Cultures in Berlin. After returning to Switzerland, she co-founded Samba Suisse and joined the team of Samba Workshops Switzerland
